If you’ve been following my journey, you know I’ve been at this for a minute.

Over 25 years in the game. From the early days spinning records and hosting shows on 91.9FM to building Damatrix Studios into a destination where legends like J. Cole, Cardi B, Nipsey Hustle, and Congresswoman AOC have sat down to speak their truth.

From launching shows like Get It Poppin’, AOS Radio, Kitty Radio, The Round Table, and Hate Money Radio to watching the DSN Network grow into one of the largest independent podcasting platforms on the East Coast—now powered by iHeartRadio.

Through it all, one question has followed me everywhere:

“DWI, how do you do it? How do you build a show from nothing? How do you find your voice? How do you turn a microphone into a movement?”

For years, I answered that question in bits and pieces—during studio sessions, at events, in quick conversations between recordings. But the time has come to lay it all out. The full blueprint. The system. The method behind the madness.

I call it The Podfather’s 3 P’s of Podcast Production.

What Are The 3 P’s?
The 3 P’s is the framework I’ve developed over 25 years of building shows, launching careers, and creating content that actually connects. It breaks down the creative process into three simple, repeatable phases:

P1: THE PLAN
Before the mic, before the gear, before the first word—there is the plan.

This is where we build the container. We define the vision. We identify the audience. We create the safe space where creativity can flourish. Most people skip this phase and wonder why their show fades by episode 7. The PLAN is your foundation.

P2: THE PRODUCE
This is where the magic happens.

Hands on the gear. Voices in the mic. The red light means go. From setting up equipment to conducting interviews to capturing both audio and video—the PRODUCE phase is about turning ideas into actual content. It’s messy, it’s fun, and it’s where you find your flow.

P3: THE POLISH
From raw footage to radio-ready.

Editing, mixing, adding music, and—most importantly—developing the confidence and skills that last long after the episode ends. This is where mentors matter. This is where feedback shapes growth. This is where you go from creator to professional.

Why Now?
Podcasting is everywhere. That’s a fact. But just because everyone is doing it doesn’t mean everyone is doing it right.

I’ve watched too many talented people buy expensive equipment, record a few episodes, and then quietly fade away. That’s not because they lacked passion. It’s because they lacked a system.

The 3 P’s is that system.

And I’m finally ready to share it.

What’s Coming
Over the next few months, we’re rolling out several projects built around The 3 P’s framework. Here’s a sneak peek at what’s in development:

📘 The Book
The Podfather’s 3 P’s of Podcast Production is currently in development. This will be the complete guide—part memoir, part instruction manual, part blueprint for the next generation. If you’ve ever wanted to sit in the studio and soak up 25 years of knowledge, this book is the closest you’ll get without being in the room.

🎓 The Workshop Curriculum
We’re building a comprehensive workshop program designed for schools, community centers, and youth organizations. The same curriculum we’ve used to train young engineers and hosts at Damatrix Studios is being packaged into a ready-to-deploy format for educators and mentors.

📊 Student Presentation Deck
A 26-slide visual guide to The 3 P’s, designed to be projected in classrooms and workshop spaces. Interactive, engaging, and built to meet young creators where they are.

📱 Social Content Series
We’ll be dropping regular content across LinkedIn, Instagram, and other platforms—tips, stories, behind-the-scenes moments, and previews of the book. If you’re not following yet, now’s the time.

🎤 Live Events & Guest Mentor Sessions
More details coming soon on opportunities to connect in person, visit Damatrix Studios, and learn from the network of mentors who’ve helped build DSN into what it is today.

This Is bigger Than Podcasting
Here’s what I want you to understand:

The 3 P’s isn’t really about podcasting.

It’s about finding your voice.

It’s about building confidence.

It’s about creating something real in a world full of noise.

I’ve spent 25 years watching young people walk into my studio nervous, uncertain, unsure if they had anything to say. And I’ve watched them walk out different. Head higher. Voice stronger. Ready to take on whatever comes next.

That’s the real product. Not episodes. People.
